Blighted Dice (consumable slot)
Blight
Can hold only 4 passive items at a time. They are displayed in the top-left corner of the screen, with one of them highlighted by a white square.
Picking up the 5th item will replace the highlighted item and drop it on a rotten pedestal which disappears after leaving the room. Items acquired from these pedestals do not grant any of their on-pickup effects such as dropping pickups, and do not contribute towards transformations.
The currently highlighted item can be cycled by using the drop button.
Items with the quest tag, as well as Birthright, don't take up inventory space.
Dropping items removes their passive effects, however, any health or pickups gained from them will be kept.
Items in the inventory will gradually rot over time and turn into an extra inventory slot filled with Blight, making them lose their effects.
Rotting progresses when clearing rooms, and the item currently subjected to rot will blink when doing so.
The item to rot is the oldest item picked up that is above quality 0.
An item rots when its rot meter reaches 100. Each room clear adds +8 rot, or +3 starting from Womb.
The rot gain increases based on how full Tarnished Isaac's inventory is: RotGain × %Full - meaning that if Tarnished Isaac holds 1 passive item, he will gain +3.75 rot per room clear (3 + 3 × 1/4).
Using Broken Dice adds a large amount of rot based on the quality of the consumed item. This does not scale with the number of items currently held.
• Quality 0 → +30 rot.
• Quality 1 → +35 rot.
• Quality 2 → +40 rot.
• Quality 3 → +50 rot.
• Quality 4 → +80 rot.
Blight can be consumed with Blighted Dice in order to gain more inventory space.
Obtain Blighted Photo by bombing the first floor's Treasure Room item as Tainted Isaac, and then go to the Home floor. [video tutorial]
