Mega Blast is an unlockable active item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Afterbirth DLC.

Fires a giant Brimstone laser for 15 seconds that persists between rooms and floors.

The beam deals 5x Isaac's damage 15 times per second.

The beam pushes Isaac backward while active.

The beam can be rotated with the shooting buttons.

While the beam is active, Isaac cannot open chests, pick up batteries, items, pills, trinkets or cards/runes, finish the run, or sleep in a bed.
