Book of the Dead item
Book of the Dead is an unlockable active item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Afterbirth+ DLC.
Description
Spawns one of the following for each enemy killed in the current room:
• Orbital bone familiar (very common).
• Friendly Bony (uncommon).
• Friendly Bone Fly (uncommon).
• Friendly Black Bony (rare).
• Friendly Revenant (rare - more common in Mausoleum, Gehenna, Sheol, and Dark Room).
Spawning a different enemy other than a Bony is only possible after dying at least once to said enemy on the save file.
Has a 1% chance of being dropped upon defeating The Forsaken.

Book of the Dead
• Spawns a bone orbital or charmed bony for each enemy killed in the current room
• Bone orbitals block enemy shots and deal contact damage but may break when doing either
• Abyss: x1 bone locust 1.5x Isaac's damage
• Book of Virtues: x1 outer wisp - 3 hp - 4 damage
• Book of Virtues: Spawns a friendly Bony when killed
