Alabaster Box is an unlockable active item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

General information The item starts with no charges and cannot be charged by clearing rooms or picking up batteries. It can only be charged by picking up Soul Hearts. Each Half Soul Heart increases the charge by 1 and gets directly added to the box rather than going to Isaac's health bar.

Both Black Hearts and Soul Hearts can be used to recharge the box.

Taking a Devil Deal that requires Soul Hearts will take charges from the box before using Isaac's health. This also applies to The Lost.

On useConsumes the item and spawns 3 Soul Hearts and 2 items from the Angel Room item pool.

If a Devil Deal was previously taken, the reward is reduced to 2 Soul Hearts and 1 Angel Room item.

There's a small chance for each Soul Heart to be replaced with an Eternal Heart instead.

Alabaster Box

• The box is consumed to spawn 2 random angel room pedestal items and 3 soul hearts
• If a devil deal has been taken, spawns 1 angel room item and 2 soul hearts instead
• Starts depleted and can only be charged by picking up soul hearts and black hearts
• Hearts consumed to charge the box are not added to Isaac's health meter
• Abyss: x1 locust 1.5x Isaac's damage
• Book of Virtues: Up to x8 middle wisps - 2 hp - 3 damage
