Broken Shovel is an active item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Afterbirth+ DLC.
Can be acquired by defeating the first floor boss under a minute (indicated by Mom yelling "Isaac!").
Bombing the starting room of the floor after defeating the boss will drop the item. If Isaac has no bomb, the Sacrifice Room can be used which will guarantee a bomb drop on the first sacrifice.
The Lamb must be defeated at least once in order for the item to appear.
Forms Mom's Shovel when combined with the other piece of the shovel.
While heldCauses 1-2 Mom's feet to attempt to stomp Isaac every few seconds. Each stomp deals a full heart of damage to Isaac if successful, and 100 damage to enemies.
Stomps will not blow up Slot Machines or Beggars, but will destroy obstacles, Bomb Chests, and will open doors.
The stomps cease while fighting Mom.
Removes the 20 minute time limit on the Boss Rush door, but forces Isaac to complete Boss Rush before advancing to the next floor.
Forces The Negative to appear after defeating Mom, ultimately leading Isaac to Sheol.
If the item is dropped, leaving the room will cause it to disappear.
On usePauses stomps for the current room.
If used in Boss Rush or a Challenge Room, stomps will be paused for only a single wave.
