Book of Cosmos is an unlockable active item in Andromeda, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Grants Isaac a random Zodiac or Planetarium item effect (see Book of Cosmos item group) as well as the Spode Transformation effect (but without flight), both for the room.

Some items that have no effect or are useless for the room are blacklisted (refer to the item group for full list of possible items).
Other items have special effects instead:

✦ Taurus: Gradually increases Isaac's speed for the room until it reaches the max.

✦ Cancer: Grants the The Wafer effect for the room without having to get hit.

✦ Sol: +3 damage and +1 luck for the room.

✦ Luna: +1 tears for the room.

✦ Mercurius: In addition to granting +0.4 speed up, all doors in the room that don't require a key or bomb are unlocked.

✦ Pallas: + damage up for the room depending on the type of room Isaac's in. If it's his first time in that room, the bonus is doubled (See the item in question to see damage values).

Has a 2.5% chance to be replaced by The Sporepedia when it spawns.

Defeat ??? as Tainted Andromeda.

This item contributes towards the Bookworm transformation. Collecting 3 items from this set will make Isaac fire an extra tear 25% of the time.
