Pierce is a system in Basement Moon, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

A custom item category used by Basement Moon. It includes selected base-game items and Basement Moon items. The Pierce icon next to an item pedestal identifies this category. An item can belong to more than one category.

Basement Moon's Pierce items normally grant +0.1 / +0.2 / +0.3 / +0.4 shot speed at quality 1 / 2 / 3 / 4. Individual items can override this bonus. These category bonuses do not apply to base-game items.

Some Basement Moon item effects depend on the Pierce items Isaac holds.
