Corpse Explosion item
Corpse Explosion is a passive item in Brown Shapiro's Addons, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.
Description
Enemies that die explode into red creep and 1-4 (depending on their max HP) friendly small maggots. Maggots are extremely vulnerable but persist between rooms.
High-HP enemies have a low chance of spawning 
Rotten Hearts on death.
