Shop is a room in The Binding of Isaac.

Sells various pickups and items from the Shop item pool in exchange for coins.

Requires a key to open, except on floor 1, where it is always unlocked.

Appears in every chapter before the Womb (one per floor). Also appears adjacent to the Blue Womb starting room.

Starting from the second floor of Chapter 2, the Shop has a chance of being replaced by a Greed or Super Greed fight when entered, unless both mini-bosses have been defeated during the run.

The Shop typically contains a Donation Machine, a Shopkeeper, and a few rocks and/or Fire Places. It can rarely contain Keeper enemies and neutral Flies.

Merchandise The following stuff can be sold at a Shop:
• 3¢ → Heart.
• 5¢ → Soul Heart, Bomb, Key, Lil' Battery, pills, or cards.
• 7¢ → Grab Bag.
• 15¢ → any item from the Shop item pool. Certain items are sold for 10¢.

Any pickup or item in the Shop has a chance of being 50% off. Such items are marked with a red price tag instead of the usual white.

Discounted prices are rounded down for items and Grab Bags and rounded up for pickups.

Upgrading the Shop The Shop typically includes a Donation Machine that can be used to permanently upgrade Shops on a save file by donating coins to it.

The following Shop upgrades are possible via donating coins:
• 20¢ - Level 1
• 100¢ - Level 2
• 200¢ - Level 3
• 600¢ - Level 4

The Shop levels determine the room layouts that will be selected, with higher levels having higher-quality layouts. For a full list of room layouts, check out the Isaac Wiki.

If playing on Normal mode, the Shop layout will always be of the highest unlocked level, while Hard mode can select a layout of any unlocked level.

Greed Mode In Greed Mode, the Shop is a wide room that is always unlocked and available on every floor, except the Ultra Greed floor.

It always contains a Heart, a Key, an item from the Greed Shop item pool, an item from the Greed Boss Room item pool, and 2 random pickups, trinkets, or items from the Greed Treasure Room item pool.

The Greed Mode Shop cannot be replaced by Greed or Super Greed.
