Return by Death is a passive item in Reverie: Make Good Omissions, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

+∞ extra lives.

Upon death, Isaac respawns with 3 red heart containers and removes all broken hearts.

Restarts and regenerates the current floor after it respawns Isaac. This counts as entering a new floor.

After respawning by Return by Death, spawns 1 Dark Esau each time Isaac enters a new floor.

If Dark Esau touches Isaac, Isaac takes damage without losing any health and gains 1 Broken Hearts.

Each additional respawn by Return by Death increases the number of Broken Hearts granted by Dark Esau each time by 1.

When the number of Broken Hearts reaches the maximum heart container count, the run ends immediately.
