Little Leather Shoes is a passive item in neverbirth, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

While heldIf held by any character at the start of a floor, eligible ordinary enemies can return after dying.

The return chance is 33% after the first death, 22% after the second and 11% after the third.

On clearing a room, gain Traffic equal to the highest death count of any eligible enemy-and-return chain in that room.

At the first boss-room clear of the floor, the Traffic total determines the reward:
6-7 Traffic: Traffic: Unboxing.
8-11 Traffic: Traffic: Exposure.
12 or more Traffic: choose between Traffic: Exposure and Traffic: Heat.

Traffic is reset after boss settlement and on entering a new floor.

The floor must begin with at least one character holding Little Leather Shoes.

Picking it up during a floor starts this system on the next floor.

Traffic is shared across the team.

Multiple copies or multiple holders do not multiply the return chances or the room score.

Count all deaths in the winning chain, including the original enemy: no return gives 1 Traffic; three successful returns can give 4.

Two chains with 2 and 3 deaths give 3 Traffic, not 5.

Bosses, minibosses, friendly enemies, linked/segmented enemies and detected splitting-enemy chains are excluded.

A room settles once, after combat and any required waves finish.

Only the highest reached reward tier is granted.

Reaching 12 does not also grant the lower-tier rewards.

If the last holder loses the shoes, further returns stop for that floor; the already-enabled Traffic system can still settle rooms and its boss reward.

Reacquiring the shoes does not restart returns until the next floor.

Traffic progress and room tracking reset when a game starts or continues; the permanent Heat bonus is saved separately.
