The Gambler is a character in Playable Machines, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Ludopatia Impulsive

Uses coins as heart containers, starting with 3, and losing 1 each time he's hit.

Slot machine effect:
Every coin picked up will be used immediately for the slot machine effect.
The amount of uses depends on the value of the coin.

Possible payouts:

For every use of the slot machine effect, the chances of a reward are:
• Get 3-5 coins (33%)
• Spawn a key (8%)
• Spawn a bomb (8%)
• Spawn a pill or card (4%)
• Spawn a fly (29%)
• Increased chance of JACKPOT(16%)
• Get JACKPOT (??%)

JACKPOT:
Spawn an item from the current pool. Then the JACKPOT probability is set back to 0%.

The maximum number of coin heart containers that can be acquired is 9.

Devil Deals cost heart containers (it doesn't work like Keeper)

All non-red heart pickups are converted into 3-10 Blue Flies, depending on the heart's quality.
