Nanomachine Symbiont is an unlockable active item in Daydream all Day, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Spawn a Symbiont pickup on use

Symbionts
Isaac equips the symbiont on pick up, immediately granting its Main Effect and Negative Effect.

Symbionts have 6 durability normally. Taking damage will reduce the durability, while non-self damage will not cause the durability drop below 2.

When durability drops to 0, the symbiont is destroyed. The symbiont will cause an explosion upon destroyed (do not hurt Isaac).

Normally Isaac can have 1 symbionts at most.

Trying to equip another symbiont with a symbiont equipped already will replace it, at the cost of losing 1 durability.

Press drop botton to call the symbiont menu, where Isaac can check on all symbionts' info and remaining durability.

Use shoot key to choose a symbiont. Hold on drop botton to forcely destroy the chosen symbiont. The remaining durability will increase the radius and damage of the explosion upon destroyed.

Tips Mouse control is allowed to better interact with the symbiont menu.

Symbiont Tags
Symbionts can be inflict tags with different effects:

Negative Tag
• Overheat: Grants heat upon the main effect triggered. When the heat reaches the cap (1000), all symbionts with Overheat will lose effect until they gets cooled down.
• Locked: Cannot be replaced.
• Melting: 50% chance to automatically lose 1 durability every minute. This can destroy symbionts!
• Fragile: The symbiont will be immediately destroyed upon durability loss.
• Everchanging: The symbiont will be rerolled upon durability loss.

Positive Tag
• Upgrade: The value of some symbionts' main effect is doubled.
• Cooling: Increase the cooldown rate of the overheat level.
• Ornament: The symbiont with Ornament tag do not occupies symbiont slot.
• Magetize: The symbiont will be spawned again upon destroyed.
• Durable: 75% chance to ignore durability loss.
