Troll Book is an active item in Eclipsed, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Grants The Ladder effect for the room.

Activates a random special seed effect for the current room or floor. Most of the special seeds affect visuals, sounds, curses, player appearance or controls, and overall game mechanics.

Single room effects
• No Rule.
• Reversed controls - movement and firing keys are reversed.
• Ice Physics - makes the ground slippery.
• Bravery - Isaac automatically fires tears in the same direction that he moves. Removes the ability to fire tears manually.
• Cowardice - Isaac automatically fires tears in the opposite direction that he moves. Removes the ability to fire tears manually.
• Axis-aligned controls - Isaac cannot move diagonally.
• Pickups time out - pickups quickly fade.
• Pacifism - room doors remain open.
• Dog Mode - activates the Book of Shadows effect for 15 seconds.
• Twelve heart damage - Isaac takes 12 hearts of damage from all sources.
• No HUD - removes the HUD entirely. This affects the map, health, consumables, held items, pickup text, floor names, and more.
• Champion enemies - all enemies turn into champions if possible.
• Charmed enemies - all enemies are charmed for 5.4 seconds.
• Confused enemies - all enemies are confused for 5.4 seconds.
• Scaredy enemies - all enemies are scared for 5.4 seconds.
• Asocial enemies - all enemies are charmed and scared for 5.4 seconds.
• Enemies respawn - enemies, including bosses, respawn once Isaac clears the room.
• Poopy Trail - Isaac leaves a trail of poop behind him as he walks.

Entire floor effects
• F2P version - all items and consumables must be bought.
• Point of no return - Boss rooms lock Isaac in, similar to the Mom fight.
• Kids' co-op mode - spawns a Buddy in a Box familiar.
• Full heart damage - Isaac takes a full heart of damage from all sources.
• Permanent Darkness - applies Curse of Darkness!.
• Hopelessly lost - applies Curse of the Lost!.
• Forever Unknown - applies Curse of the Unknown!.
• Unending Maze - applies Curse of the Maze!.
• Incurable Blindness - applies Curse of the Blind!.
• Horrible Curse - teleports Isaac to the Сurse Room or grants all curses.
• Total curse immunity - removes all curses.
• Farty sounds - all sound effects are replaced with farts.
• Movement tempo - music speed is affected by Isaac's walking speed.
• Health tempo - the lower Isaac's health is, the slower the music is, and vice versa.
• Downtempo - music is slowed down.
• Downtempo−− - music is significantly slowed down.
• Uptempo - music is sped up.
• Uptempo++ - music is significantly sped up.
• Cathode rays! - applies a filter that makes the game look like it's being played through a cathode ray tube.
• Retro Vision - screen has a permanent Retro-Vision effect.
• Dyslexia - all in-game text is rearranged.
• Mystery pills - all pill names and descriptions show ???.
• Mystery cards - all card names and descriptions show ???.
• Extra Gore - makes a lot more blood appear after enemies die.
• Camouflage enemies - all enemies blend into the ground.
• Camouflage stuff - pickups and items blend into the ground.
• Camouflage player - grants the Camo Undies effect when entering room.
• Camouflage EVERYTHING! - applies all Camouflage effects at once.
• Basement? - replaces room appearance with Basement.
• Skittish enemies - every 0.5~7.23 seconds, all enemies become scared.
• Tricky pickups - pickups mimic Isaac's movements.
• Big head mode - grants the Odd Mushroom effect.
• Tiny head mode - grants the Odd Mushroom effect.
• Invisible player - Isaac becomes completely invisible.
• Black body - Isaac becomes completely black.
• Christmas - Isaac wears a Christmas hat.
• The Blank - Isaac has no face.
• Grayscale - Isaac turns gray.

This item contributes towards the Bookworm transformation. Collecting 3 items from this set will make Isaac fire an extra tear 25% of the time.
