Jar of Wisps is an unlockable active item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

Spawns wisps that orbit Isaac, fire tears, block enemy shots, and deal contact damage to enemies, much like the ones spawned by Book of Virtues.

The Jar will initially spawn 2 wisps, but the amount is increased by +1 each time the jar is used, up to a total of 12 wisps. The amount of wisps the jar will spawn is indicated by both a counter and the jar visually filling up with wisps.

Every wisp spawned has a 15% chance of being of a special variant.

• Spawns orbital wisp familiars equal to the the number on this item's icon
• Starts at 2 wisps and increments higher with each activation
• Wisps have an increased chance to be special variants
• Abyss: x1 locust .75x Isaac's damage
• Book of Virtues: Middle wisps - 2 hp - 3 damage
• Book of Virtues: Triples the number of wisps spawned
