Heartbreak is an unlockable passive item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

+3 Broken Hearts.
+0.25 damage for every Broken Heart Isaac has.

Causes every fatal hit to add 2 more Broken Hearts instead of killing Isaac, and deal 40 damage to all enemies in the room.

This effect won't prevent death from Devil Deals.
