Sacrifice Room is a room in The Binding of Isaac.

The Sacrifice Room is a room that contains only a set of spikes in the center, and rarely some Fire Places, rocks, skulls, or a few heart pickups.

Damage from the Sacrifice Room spikes does not affect the Devil/Angel Room chance.

The chance for a Sacrifice Room to generate is ~14%. This chance is increased to ~36% if Isaac's total health is equal to or greater than his total Red Heart containers.

The Sacrifice Room is mutually exclusive with the Dice Room - both cannot appear on the same floor.

Only one Sacrifice Room may appear per floor, and they can only appear up to Chapter 5.

The spikes will deal damage even if Isaac has flight. This also applies to flying enemies, including Uriel and Gabriel that can spawn in the room.

The sacrifice counter is stored in the set of spikes themselves. This means that, if multiple sets of spikes or Sacrifice Rooms were to be created, each will yield separate rewards based on their sacrifice counters.

Damage must be taken in order to yield a reward. This means that shields such as Holy Mantle will not work.

Sacrifice Room rewards Taking damage from the spikes deals a full heart of damage in exchange for the following rewards, based on the number of sacrifices on the current floor:
• 1/2 sacrifices → 50% chance for a Penny, or nothing. If on the first floor and the boss has been defeated under a minute, 100% chance for a Bomb.
• 3 sacrifices → 67% chance for getting the "You feel blessed!" message, which increases the chances of getting an Angel Deal over a Devil Deal. This also allows for an Angel Deal if a Devil Deal has been taken before. If a deal has not been encountered on the run, guarantees an Angel Deal on the current floor. If the chance fails, no reward is granted.
• 4 sacrifices → 50% chance for a random Chest, or nothing.
• 5 sacrifices → 67% chance for the "You feel blessed!" message (see above), and 33% chance for 3 Pennies.
• 6 sacrifices → 67% chance for a random Chest, and 33% chance of teleporting to the Angel Room, unless a Devil Room has been entered on the floor, in which case it will teleport there instead.
• 7 sacrifices → 50% chance to spawn Redemption if a Devil Deal has been taken; otherwise, 67% chance for a Soul Heart, and 33% chance for a random item from the Angel Room item pool.
• 8 sacrifices → 7 Troll Bombs.
• 9 sacrifices → spawns Uriel.
• 10 sacrifices → 50% chance for 7 Soul Hearts, and 50% chance for 30 Pennies.
• 11 sacrifices → spawns Gabriel.
• 12 or more sacrifices → 50% chance to teleport to the Dark Room floor, unless on a Challenge or Daily Run that does not end up in the Dark Room.

Note that the Sacrifice Room may be exited when Uriel or Gabriel spawn, allowing the fight to be skipped.
