Counterfeit Penny is an unlockable trinket in The Binding of Isaac.

Picking up a coin has a chance to increase the coin's value by 1.

The chance is based on the coin's worth:
• Penny: 50% chance.
• Double Penny: 75% chance.
• Nickel: 96.88% chance.
• Dime: 99.9% chance.

Can be dropped from Special Shopkeepers, Golden Poop, killing a Beggar, or winning a Shell Game.

Counterfeit Penny

• 50% chance to gain one additional cent each time you pick up a coin
• Golden Trinket (without Mom's Box): 50% chance to gain 2 additional cents each time you pick up a coin
• Mom's Box: 50% chance to gain 2 additional cents each time you pick up a coin
• Mom's Box + Golden Trinket: 50% chance to gain 3 additional cents each time you pick up a coin
