Mitral Valve Prolapse is a passive item in Damnation, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

A random enemy in the room may become Crown champion.

All champions' HP is reduced to 20%.

All heart pickups becomes random cards.

Upon clearing boss room, prevent the reward from being a food item, and additionally spawns a random item that offers heart containers.

Mitral valve prolapse is a type of heart valve disease that affects the valve between the left heart chambers. The flaps (leaflets) of the mitral valve are floppy. They bulge backward (prolapse) like a parachute into the heart's left upper chamber as the heart squeezes (contracts).

The abbreviation of it is "MVP", which is also the abbrevation of "Most Valuable Player". This is why this can cause a random enemy to be crown champion.
