Rotten Core is an unlockable passive item in Epiphany, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Causes enemies to spawn Small Maggots upon death. The number of Maggots spawned depends on the enemies' max HP.

Small Maggots no longer deal damage to Isaac. Touching them instead grants brief stat increases that fade over 3 seconds:
+0.06 fire rate.
+0.1 flat damage.

The stats decrease rate increases as the buffs to them increase.

The number of Maggots spawned decreases as Isaac progresses through floors.

Bosses spawn 4.5 times more Maggots than regular enemies.

Defeat Isaac, ???, Satan, and The Lamb as Tarnished ???.
