Gorgoneion is a familiar in Fiend Folio, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Spawns a familiar that remains stationary in the center of the room.

The familiar will stare at enemies, petrifying them for 2 seconds. It will choose the nearest enemy, and switch to a new target after 2 seconds.

The familiar ignores any obstacles in its way.

The familiar can only target one enemy at a time, even if multiple ones are in its line of sight.

Enemies remain petrified for a short while after the familiar is no longer staring at them, with the duration being influenced by how long they've been stared at.

If there's no alternative target to switch to, the familiar will stare at Isaac without doing anything.

Bosses can be targeted too, but the petrification will last for only half as long.

The familiar cannot target invulnerable enemies.

The Siren can charm the familiar, making him stare at Isaac and slow down his movement speed.
