Epitaph is a passive item in Furtherance, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Adds a 10% chance to spawn an orbital bone familiar or a random friendly skeleton enemy (similar to Book of the Dead) upon killing an enemy.

Dying while holding Epitaph will make a tombstone spawn in the next run in a random room on the floor Isaac died in.

Bombing this tombstone 3 times will cause it to break and spawn 3-5 Pennies, 2-3 Keys and the oldest and newest items owned by Isaac in the previous run.

The effect will not occur if Isaac has extra lives and revives in the run.

Does not work if obtained on a seeded run, victory lap, RERUN, during a challenge, or if obtained as a temporary effect, e.g. via Lemegeton or Metronome.
