Flip is an unlockable active item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

While heldWhen Isaac enters a room containing an item, the item pedestal will appear with a secondary ghostly item behind it.

Only the real item can be interacted with. The ghostly one will vanish if Isaac leaves the room and there is no real item on the pedestal.

Item pedestals that are spawned after room generation, e.g. Boss Room items, items from chests, etc., won't have a ghostly item.

Buying an item from a Shop or Devil Deal will also buy the ghostly version of it for free.

On useCycles between the real and ghostly items on pedestals, allowing Isaac to collect the ghostly variant.

Does not affect pedestals that don't have a ghostly item on them.

If playing as Tainted Lazarus, it will switch between the dead and alive form of the character, and the item will have only 4 charges rather than 6.

Flip

• All pedestal items have a "ghost" item while Flip is held, which can be seen faintly behind the pedestal's original item
• Cause the original item and "ghost" item on all pedestals in the room to swap places
• Both items can be collected, but only if the swap is activated without leaving the room after the first item is collected
• Tainted Lazarus: Activating Flip makes Lazarus instantly switch between his 2 forms
• Abyss: x1 locust 2x Isaac's damage
• Book of Virtues: x1 middle wisp - 5 hp - 4 damage
