Tainted Forgotten is an unlockable character in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

No starting items.

Consists of 2 characters: Tainted Forgotten which cannot move on his own, and Tainted Soul that can pick up Tainted Forgotten and throw him around.

Tainted Soul is the character that can move, fly, and can be damaged, while Tainted Forgotten is the one that can shoot but cannot be damaged. The Soul cannot shoot or deal any damage.

Even though The Soul can be damaged, the health bar internally belongs to the body.

Touching the body will pick it up, allowing The Soul to throw it. This will cause it to swing his bone club that deals 3x damage, and the impact of the body itself deals 5 flat damage.

Just like regular The Forgotten, the bone club can be charged and thrown to deal 1.5x damage.

The attack can be released before fully charged, but it will travel a shorter distance.

Enemies will almost always target the body instead of The Soul.

The body can be used to guard against enemy projectiles and block their movement.

The Soul cannot have Red Heart containers. Any item that gives Red Heart containers will grant a Soul Heart instead.

Both the body and The Soul can pick up items and share the same inventory and health bar.

Placing a bomb will place it underneath the body.

Any items picked up will behave as if the body picked them up, such as familiars that will orbit the body instead of The Soul. However, speed upgrades and invincibility effects will affect The Soul instead.

The bone club passes through walls and obstacles, and can be used to grab pickups from a distance, and even open chests.
