Devil Room is a room in The Binding of Isaac.

The Devil Room entrance appears upon defeating the floor boss inside the Boss Room.

Inside, Isaac can exchange heart containers for items from the Devil Room item pool. This is referred to as making a "deal with the devil".

Devil Deal items require 1 heart container by default, with the exception of some more powerful items that require 2.

Sometimes, the Devil Room may instead contain Black Hearts, Red Chests, Devil Beggars, Mom's (Dead) Hand enemy, or Nulls.

The Devil Room does not always appear. Its appearance is tied to Isaac's Devil Room chance, and can only appear up to Chapter 4.

When a Devil Room is about to spawn, there is a chance for it to be replaced with an Angel Room instead, depending on Isaac's Angel Room chance.

Items with the devilsacrifice item tag will appear with a sacrificial spike instead of requiring a heart container. This type of deal has a 50% chance to award the item on the first attempt, and 100% on the second. This, too, counts as taking a devil deal.

Occasionally, the Krampus mini-boss will appear inside a Devil Room (once per run); in this case, no deal items will appear in the room.

In Greed Mode, an Angel/Devil Room is guaranteed to appear upon defeating the final, optional wave of each floor. The Devil Room will instead use the Greed Devil Room item pool.

When leaving the Devil Room, the door is not guaranteed to stay. It is affected by Isaac's Devil Room chance every time.

Characters that don't have any Red Hearts, will use their corresponding heart type for the deals, such as Soul Hearts, or Coin Hearts.

The Lost and Tainted Lost (or any other character in ghost form) can take one item from the Devil Room for free, while the other items disappear.

This room is not part of the playable area and exists outside of the map's boundaries.
