Uncut Cord is a passive item in neverbirth, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

While heldWhen Isaac takes damage with no damage debt pending, there is a 50% chance to delay that hit instead of losing health immediately.

Clearing 2 rooms that had enemies without taking another hit settles the debt at half its original damage, with a minimum payment of half a heart.

Taking another hit before then immediately settles the original debt at full damage.

The new hit also occurs normally.

Uncut Cord can be found in the following item pools:

The following tags are applied to this item:

The delayed payment can kill Isaac.

It is delayed damage, not healing.

Empty rooms and rooms already cleared when the debt begins do not count toward the 2-room requirement.

Extra copies do not increase the 50% chance.

In co-op, each character's debt is tracked separately.
