Bum Friend is a familiar in The Binding of Isaac.

Spawns a familiar that follows Isaac and picks up coins from the ground.

The familiar will drop a random pickup after collecting 6 coins.

After the initial drop, Bum Friend has a 67% chance to drop a pickup after collecting 3 coins, and a 33% chance to drop after 4 coins.

Has an additional chance to drop batteries and items from the Beggar item pool.

He cannot pick up Sticky Nickels.

He can drop one of the following: red heart, bomb, key, card/rune, pill or a trinket.

This item contributes towards the Super Bum transformation. Collecting 3 items from this set will transform Isaac's bums into Super Bum, a familiar that collects coins, red hearts and keys, and drops twice as many rewards.
