Jacob's Ladder is a passive item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Afterbirth+ DLC.

Isaac's tears fire a short-ranged spark of electricity in a random direction upon hitting an enemy or an obstacle. When an arc strikes an enemy, it will strike another nearby enemy, chaining up to 4 enemies.

Each spark deals half of Isaac's damage, and has spectral and piercing properties.

Enemies can take damage multiple times from sparks of a single chain. If an enemy takes damage from a tear, it does not take any damage from the chain caused by that tear.

The arcing distance is increased on wet floors, such as Downpour, Dross, Flooded Caves, some rooms in Scarred Womb. This also applies after using Flush!.
