Star of Bethlehem is an unlockable familiar in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

Spawns a glowing star that slowly travels towards the Boss Room using the shortest possible route.

The star is surrounded with a glowing aura that gives Isaac the following when standing inside it:
• ×1.2 damage multiplier.
• ×2.5 fire rate multiplier.
• Homing tears.
• 50% chance to block damage.

Once the star reaches the Boss Room, it will center itself in the room for the rest of the floor.

The speed of the star changes based on whether Isaac is in front or behind it in correlation to the Boss Room. It will speed up if it's lacking behind, or slow down if Isaac is behind.

The star may travel through Secret Rooms and Curse Rooms on its path to the Boss Room. It may also travel through Red Rooms if they create an optimal path to the Boss Room.

With Curse of the Labyrinth! active, the star will travel to the second Boss Room.

In the Void, the star will travel to Delirium's Boss Room.

In Greed Mode, the star will always center itself in the starting room, except on the final floor, where it will move to the Ultra Greed fight.

The star won't appear in The Beast fight.

If the Mega Satan door is opened, the star will travel to that fight instead.

• Standing in its aura grants homing tears and a large boost to tears and damage
• The star maintains its route to the boss room whether Isaac is in the same room as it or not
• Abyss: x1 locust 1.5x Isaac's damage
