Burn Away the Resentment is a passive item in neverbirth, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

On pickupGain 2 resentment stacks.

While heldClearing an enemy room adds 1 stack; a Boss Room adds 2.

Up to 6 stacks, each reducing speed by 0.04, with a minimum speed of 0.5.

At 6 stacks, the first direct hit in the next enemy room consumes all stacks, deals 300% of Isaac's damage to every hostile enemy, and burns them for 3 seconds.

At 3-6 stacks, surviving an enemy hit that actually costs health instead consumes all stacks, deals 50% of Isaac's damage per stack to every hostile enemy, and burns them for 3 seconds.

On the next floor, each spent or unspent stack grants +0.35 damage and -0.12 tear delay for that floor.

Only one purge can occur per floor.

After a purge, further room clears do not build resentment until the next floor.

The next floor's bonuses use the stacks spent in the purge, or the remaining stacks if no purge occurred.

These bonuses last for that floor and are replaced at the following floor transition.

The 6-stack attack trigger accepts Isaac-owned tears, lasers, knives and bombs, rather than familiar attacks.

It becomes ready when entering an enemy room with 6 stacks.

The damage trigger excludes lethal hits, fake damage, health payments, Curse Room door damage and damage in Sacrifice Rooms.

It requires confirmed health loss from an enemy source.
