Grappling Hook is an active item in Fiend Folio, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Throwable hook that can be launched in any direction with the shooting buttons after it's been activated.

Holding down a shooting button will keep extending the hook's rope until it hits a wall. Letting go of the button will quickly take Isaac to the hook's location, going over pits and obstacles.

Isaac can climb onto any rock by using the hook.

Isaac can fall into a pit by doing this, which will deal half a heart of damage.

Isaac is invincible while the hook is transporting him, and will deal contact damage equal to his damage stat to any enemy he touches, 30 times per second.

If used carefully, the hook can be used to walk through Curse Rooms without taking damage, as well as open Spiked Chests.

The hook won't protect against damage taken from Devil Beggars, Blood Donation Machines, etc.
