Anima Sola is an unlockable active item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

Chains down the nearest enemy, completely preventing them from acting for 5 seconds.

Using the item again, even if not fully charged, will release the enemy immediately.

The effect also works on enemies that are invulnerable.

When playing as Tainted Jacob The chain will always be set on Dark Esau, if he is present. Releasing Dark Esau will immediately cause him to charge at Tainted Jacob.

Dark Esau deals no contact damage to Jacob while chained down.

If used in a room without any enemies before Dark Esau has spawned, it will immediately summon him without wasting a charge.

• Activating a second time while active will release the chains
• Tainted Jacob: Prioritizes chaining Dark Esau
• Abyss: x1 petrifying locust 1x Isaac's damage
• Book of Virtues: x1 outer wisp - 2 hp - 3 damage
• Book of Virtues: Wisp orbits and fires at chained enemies
• Book of Virtues: Wisp lasts until the chained enemy dies
