Black Taisui is a passive item in neverbirth, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.
While heldGrows through three stages as the holder gains parasite points.
Below 8 points: -0.5 damage, -0.2 speed, and -3 luck per copy.
These penalties stop at 1 damage and 0.5 speed.
At 8 points: only a flat -0.5 damage remains.
Removes Curse of the Blind, Curse of the Lost, and Curse of the Unknown, reveals item pedestals, and converts held Wavy Cap into Cleansed Wavy Cap.
At 16 points: +1.5 damage per copy replaces the damage penalty, one Meat Lump pedestal is spawned for that character, and the previous stage's utility effects remain.
The mature stage can prevent one death per floor, leaving half a red heart or adding one black heart for a character without red-heart containers.

The following tags are applied to this item:
A full red-heart container gained gives 4 points.
Actual red-heart healing gives 1 point per half heart; if both the container and its contents increase, both gains can contribute.
For characters without red-heart containers, soul or black-heart healing gives 1 point per full heart.
Damage explicitly targeting red hearts gives twice the incoming damage amount in points.
Characters without red-heart containers gain points equal to incoming damage instead.
Ordinary unflagged red-heart damage is not counted by this rule.
Fake damage, IV Bag, Devil Deal costs, cursed-door damage, and no-kill damage are excluded.
Counted damage uses the incoming event amount rather than a later measurement of health lost.
Points and the one-time Meat Lump reward are saved separately for each character.
Losing copies pauses growth but does not erase saved progress; extra copies share the same stage and reward.
Spore bursts caused by stage changes, curse removal, pedestal reveals, Wavy Cap conversion, or death prevention fear vulnerable enemies in the room for 90 frames.
Death prevention grants a 60-frame damage cooldown and does not rescue the marked failure death from Avada Kedavra.
The once-per-floor use is runtime state and is not preserved through quitting and continuing.
The stage-one floors only limit this item's penalties; they do not raise damage or speed that was already below those values.
The intermediate stage's damage penalty does not scale with copies.
