Coin-Faced Mask is a passive item in neverbirth, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

While heldGains a mask when Isaac has at least 5 coins.

The mask refreshes on entering a room and confuses the room's current enemies for 3 seconds when activated.

The first eligible incoming hit consumes the mask and spends 5 coins to block that hit.

If Isaac has fewer than 5 coins when that hit arrives, the mask breaks, the hit is not blocked, and Isaac loses 2 luck for the rest of the room.

After either outcome, the mask cannot activate again in that room while continuously held.

The following tags are applied to this item:

If the mask has not yet been used in a room, reaching 5 coins there can activate it.

Spending those coins before the next eligible hit removes the ability to pay for that block.

The room's current enemies are also confused for 3 seconds when the mask breaks.

Damage caused by Isaac, IV Bag damage, Devil Deal payments, Curse Room door damage, fake damage, and damage explicitly marked non-lethal do not consume the mask.

Extra copies do not add more blocks.

Entering a new room clears the luck penalty and restores eligibility for a new mask.
