While heldWhen a lethal hit is blocked, one charge is spent and Isaac receives a 60-frame damage cooldown.

The following tags are applied to this item:

For characters with red heart containers, survival protection ensures at least half a red heart remains; it does not reduce existing health to that amount.

Without red heart containers, it adds one full black heart, subject to the character's health rules.

Spending a charge decreases the stored +N counter rather than removing the collectible.

Earned charges remain available after losing Meat Lump.

Fake damage and damage explicitly flagged as nonlethal do not spend charges.

Avada Kedavra's failure death bypasses this protection.

Black Taisui's stage-3 Meat Lump reward is granted once per character for the run.
