Description
Spawns with 2 Blue Flies.

Shoots a barrage of 5 coin tears at once.

A random coin is dropped from enemies killed. The coin disappears after 2 seconds unless picked up.

Champion enemies and mini-bosses drop 2 coins, while bosses drop several coins that take 4 seconds to disappear.

Enemies spawned later in the room are not guaranteed to spawn a coin. This chance decreases as more enemies spawn, and coins will eventually stop spawning in that room.

Up to 15 coins can spawn in a room, or 30 in a Boss Room.

Spawned coins can be of the following variants:
• 92.6% → Penny
• 4.7% → Nickel
• 1.0% → Dime
• 0.9% → Lucky Penny
• 0.5% → Golden Penny
• 0.3% → Sticky Nickel

Devil Deals cost either 15¢ or 30¢ depending on their heart container price.

Hitting enemies has a 0.5% chance to drop a Penny when luck is <= 0. The chance increases by 1% with each point of positive luck.

Health mechanics
All heart pickups are converted into 1-5 Blue Flies depending on the heart's quality.

The Golden Heart in Tarnished Keeper's health bar can take 2 hits and is refilled by picking up coins.

The Coin Mantle serves as a golden Holy Mantle and is charged whenever an item that grants a Red Heart container is obtained, or an Eternal Heart was converted into a Blue Fly or directly obtained.

He receives additional Coin Hearts for every 20¢ held, starting at 21¢. Getting hit while having such a container will reduce 20¢ of which half are scattered around as Pennies, vanishing in 1.5-2 seconds unless picked up, effectively removing the Coin Heart container.

No coins will be dropped to the ground when getting hit while holding less than 20¢.

All of these containers are purely aesthetic. Tarnished Keeper's actual amount of coins is his health, meaning that he can survive getting hit if he has at least 1¢. Having 0¢ will make the initial golden heart blink red and will die on the next hit.

Entering a Curse Room costs 10¢ and will not drop any coins to the ground.

Self-sacrifice mechanics such as Blood Donation Machines reduce only 5¢.

Obtaining Broken Hearts grants a Broken Coin container which reduces Tarnished Keeper's max coin cap by -10¢.

Going over the 99¢ cap with Deep Pockets will combine smaller Coin Heart containers into Quarter Hearts, Dollar Hearts, etc. However, taking damage while above 100¢ will make Tarnished Keeper lose 60% of the total coins held.

Curse of Midas
Receiving damage from a non-boss enemy, whether via contact or a projectile, applies the Midas' Touch freeze effect to them for 3 seconds.

Any Beggar touched will convert them into a golden statue that can be bombed 2 times for more coins and pickups. The Beggar will still take a payment before being converted, although no reward will be dropped.

Touching any item pedestal, trinket, consumable, or pickup (except for coins), will convert it to coin pickups rather than acquiring it. These coins disappear after 6.33-7 seconds unless picked up. Only stuff paid for in Shops, generated via Turnover, or any other method that puts a price tag, may be obtained.

There are a few exceptions to this rule:
A Quarter, A Dollar, and Perfection.
• And any item with the quest item tag.
• Any pickups spawned from purchased items.
• Any pickups spawned from blowing up Golden Beggar statues.
• Items from the Death Certificate floor.
• Manually dropped consumables.

Unlock: Obtain K.A.E.K. in the first floor's Super Secret Room on Greedier Mode as Tainted Keeper, and open up the Vault after defeating Ultra Greedier.
