Attempts to generate a cluster of 3 Psionic rooms somewhere on the floor. If successful, replaces all item pedestals in the room with a permanent portal to the created cluster.

The final room of the cluster will contain a fight with the Hermit mini-boss that will drop an item from the Treasure Room item pool when defeated. This item will always be a passive item, and will attempt to be of higher quality than the absorbed item. If multiple items were absorbed, the one with the highest quality is taken into consideration.

The item cannot be charged via normal means, not even via batteries. It automatically becomes charged when the following conditions are met, and immediately discharged if not:
• Isaac enters a Treasure Room.
• Isaac is not in the Mirror Dimension.
• Isaac is not in a Psionic room cluster.
• At least 1 item pedestal exists in the room.
• There are no empty item pedestals in the room.
• There are no Psionic portals in the room.
Unlock: Defeat Psion in a mini-boss room.
