Activates one of the following weaker rune effects:
• Algiz: grants a shield that lasts 3 seconds.
• Ansuz: reveals the map up to 3 rooms away from Isaac.
• Berkano: spawns an Abyss locust for the duration of the room.
• Dagaz: gives half a soul heart.
• Hagalaz: destroys only some rocks.
• Jera: duplicates only one pickup.
• Perthro: rerolls only one item.

Can spawn as a replacement for any other rune that hasn't been unlocked yet. This means that once all runes have been unlocked, Rune Shard will no longer be able to spawn.
