Each successive tear hit increases Isaac's damage multiplier by 25%, going up to 100% at 4 successive hits.

If a tear misses an enemy, there is a chance for the multiplier to reset. The chance is:
• 20% for the first miss.
• 33% for the second miss.
• 50% for the third miss and beyond.

Isaac's tears glow red and increase in size as the multiplier increases.
