Upon entering a hostile room, every 30 seconds, night falls for 5 seconds, putting all enemies in the room to sleep.

The first night falls after 15 seconds.

Every nightfall grants +1 flat damage for the current room, up to a maximum of +10.

If a sleeping enemy takes damage, it wakes up.

When an enemy dies during the night, it wakes up all enemies, ending the night. The enemy closest to it will be marked with Rotten Tomato's bait status effect.
